Update

We have been on hiatus for a while, but we're coming back with episode 5, due to the fact that GingaAnon has subbed up to four! It's been very busy here, but tonight I plan to get episode five done once and for all.

Help Wanted

I'm finding it quite hard, but I'll try to keep it up. However, I could use,
Mirrors: anyone willing to dedicate server space with less chances of takedown is encouraged to offer space!
Translating: We, err, that is, I need someone to help with the translating. First, Veitsub is hard to find and I'm not sure how accurate the translations are.
RAWS: Anyone who can provide RAWs of these episodes, please do!

Download Links for Ginga S Episode 1 (Eng Sub)

I hope to get more mirrors up, so keep checking back. I hope to avoid copyright strikes in some way, so I'll see if I can get it to KRDL and maybe Mega..

About MEGA, I had an adventure... It would have been up last night if it hadn't logged me out while the file was uploading. It wouldn't let me log back in, and hence the upload was never completed. After some struggling, I decided to go to bed. Onedrive worked better, but.......

Ginga S Episode 1

I'm pleased to announce that the first episode of Ginga S has been completed! (Bandwidth is limited, so I will try to find alternate mirrors. If anyone can offer a mirror, please do.) Download available here.
Feedback welcome, as usual!

Improvements I hope to bring in future episodes:

  • Higher quality (maybe HD!)
  • 16:9 aspect ratio
  • Better song subs
  • Subs for the ending song
  • Better translation, as well as subs for all the Ultra techniques.
Ultraman Ginga, Ultraman Victory, and other copyrights belong to their respective owners. No infringement intended. This is for the enjoyment of English speaking fans in other countries who otherwise do not have access to understandable Ultraman.

"Become A Hero" song subs!

I'm halfway through subbing Ginga S episode one, and so you're getting the theme song, "Become a Hero," in English subs a bit before the episode. Enjoy!
Easily one of the most epic Ultraman songs in history, too bad it's so short. In fact, I like it as much as "Journey Through The Decade," which previously was my favorite toku theme. Downloadable link will be posted later, with the episode's release.

Ultraman Ginga S and Become A Hero belong to their respective owners. No copyright infringement intended. For fans of Ultraman who can't English otherwise, and the rest of the blurb.

Project Update #1

Only six minutes into the 24 minute ep, but the song took a while... Still on target. So far it's awesome, and I like it better than Ginga. The opening song is probably the most epic in Ultraman history.
And the Victorians are well done.
Overall, I think this will be worth the wait!

Hello, World!

After looking everywhere for Ultraman Ginga S subs, I found nothing. Well, to be precise, I found that some subbing groups had said they were "not interested." As my knowledge of Japanese is limited to the few sentences I have picked up from watching toku, I really need good English subtitles to properly enjoy a show. And so, here I am.
I found a veitsub of some eps, and got a raw by following a few links. And I never realized how difficult fan subbing is. I need to give a round of applause to all the people who have deciphered previous Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Sentai and other shows for our enjoyment. Because, damn, it's hard. Not only do you have to find time for it, but you have to get timing, encoding, and such right.
After installing countless codecs to my very outdated and unsupported Fedora 18, I began translating, with the aid of Google, the veitsubs. I'm having to work without decent video editors (any of those on Linux suck) and hopefully you'll be getting Victory sometime next week!
So, Hello, World!
